What’s Working! What’s Not! Where to Start?

Jacaline suggest some easy ways to get inspired.

Select some room photos from Decorating magazines that have the feel, colors and or look that excites you.
Magazines can be expensive so peruse them while at a grocery check out and pick up only the one’s that had something meaningful to your project.
Buy a piece that you REALLY LOVE and build your room around it.
Look at what you have. Think of a special area carpet, art, fabric from upholstered piece, draperies or bedding.

Design First! Paint Last!

Pull out a color from treasured objects in the room. Jacaline can bring Benjamin Moore and General Paint samples to assist you in making your paint selections. She will also co-ordinate what colors on which walls and leaves you with paint chips for your project file.

Display your Treasures and Memorabilia

Don’t put all those unique and memory stimulating treasures in a storage area. Jacaline can assist you in artistically displaying them to make a statement of your personal travels that have created who you are.

…And what about baby’s first shoes, your only handmade ceramic soap bowl, wedding hat, prom gloves, and Boy Scout badges?? Open those boxes during your initial consultation: “Let’s comb through these together and use them to create your personalized and vibrant atmosphere you call home.” Jacaline recommends using hallways to add interest and drama. We can mix those with other items and make a beautiful and personalized display. Photo walls are great too.
